Me, My Camera & a Three Day Road Trip

I took a 3 day road trip. Me, myself & my camera. 999 miles and about 18 hours of driving total. I clocked my mileage and as I pulled up in the driveway when I arrived home yesterday my odometer flipped over to exactly 999 miles. No kidding!! I couldn’t believe it. So of course I grabbed my camera & took a picture. My mission was photographing 3 credit unions in Northern Michigan, including Marquette, Trenary & Traverse City. As a reminder I’m photographing 20 credit unions across the state of Michigan during the months of September & October. This trip was “the big one” since Marquette & Trenary are in the Upper Peninsula and is almost an 8 hour drive one way.

Even though I had the “job” of photographing the 3 credit unions on this trip, I took advantage of the alone time with my camera and I stopped at every scenic place along the trip that I could find. It was wonderful. I saw several places that I hadn’t seen since I was a kid, and several places that brought back some very old memories.

Here are some pictures from my trip. I think this first picture of the lighthouse with the bridge in the background should be on a postcard or calendar for Michigan! I just love it.

What a Fun Family!

This trio was a riot to photograph! They wanted some nice family pictures to give away for Christmas presents. Don’t they look picture perfect together? I had to ask Mom if she gave the kids a lecture about being extra good in front of the camera. Nope, she said they actually love each other just like they showed off for me on camera, without being asked! What a sweet brother & sister pair! Seriously, check out how cute they are!!!

It’s always so hard to pick my out some of favorites because there are always so many. But I’ll give it a try…..

I love this first one…the bridge, the greenery, the 3 of them, and the sun shining through the trees at the top giving it a gorgeous glow!

And to show you how fun these guys were, check out these silly ones!

Brady & Tyler - 2 Years Old Soon!

Drum roll….Here are the pictures I took of Brady & Tyler at the Botannical Gardens the other day. After looking at all the pictures of Dylan & Noah and now of Brady & Tyler I’m super happy with how many great shots I got in two hours of all the boys. So, these pictures will be their “official” two year old pictures (3 weeks early too!).

Sorry, picture overload (and there are more too!) But since they are my boys I’m allowed! LOL

First, some pictures of Brady:

And here are some pictures of Tyler:

And a few of both of the boys together:

Brady & Tyler’s Best Buddies

Remember I’ve mentioned Dylan & Noah before. They are the twin boys who are less than 2 weeks younger than Brady & Tyler, and they live in walking distance from our house. Sara & I have become good friends and the boys love playing together! We laughed today at the thought of them actually going to the same school someday. Then we laughed at the thought of them going to school period. Way too early to think of that! Although, you know the saying….time flies!

Anyway, Sara & I loaded up everyone into her van today and drove down to the Botannical Gardens at U of M in Ann Arbor. Our goal…nice pictures of the boys in celebration of their upcoming 2 year birthdays (yes, two years old is coming up quick!). So we equipped ourselves with two cameras, pockets full of bribery candy and gave it our best. Photographing one toddler in two hours is a challenge, let alone photographing 4 toddlers individually as well as the “together” pictures of each set of twins. We were exhausted!

So, here’s my favorites of Dylan & Noah. Pics of my boys to follow later!

Yes, Noah’s is completely airborne in that picture! Priceless shot!! One of our favorites!

Jacob’s Picture Wins!

I photographed little Jacob earlier this summer and his mom, Michelle, entered one of his pictures I took into the local fair over Labor Day. I just found out today that Jacob’s picture won 1st prize! Congratulations! He’s such a cute little guy and full of energy. Here’s the picture that won.
