December was my busiest month ever with my photography work. Everyone likes holiday pictures, cards & gifts during this time of the year. Some days and nights I thought I was crazy, but most of the time I was thrilled to be able to help people capture memories and create nice gifts for their family and friends.
I saved these two thank you’s from former clients and happened to re-read them recently. They have to be two of my favorite thank you’s that I’ve received this past year and it reminds me of why I love doing my photography business. I will keep the names anonymous.
From a mother of a child with Autism that I photographed. We’ll call him A.: A’s school pictures didn’t turn out so well. His teacher said he had such a hard time with it. He wouldn’t give the photographer eye contact, his breathing got fast, he kept shrugging his shoulders repetitively from how uncomfortable he was, and she said he was quite visibly distressed like she’s never seen him before. He made it through after a long while with a very serious, eyebrows furrowed look, eyes up at the camera for a split second. I was very grateful after hearing that story that we were able to take pictures for us in a natural setting with a very playful, child-led session. Thank you! You have a real connection with kids that is so vital in making any photo session a success! Thanks again. I LOVE the collages and the prints.
From a mother of a baby. We’ll call her O.: Thank you sooo much for taking O’s pictures. You do such great work and were able to capture some really sweet moments! Those pictures are definitely the most generous and thoughtful gifts I have ever received. My entire family is in awe of the pictures. I have gotten too many compliments to count on what nice work you have done. My uncle even asked me if I hired Anne Geddes to take the pictures. Thanks again for everything! We will be able to treasure these forever!
So, that’s my warm fuzzy feelings for the day. I thought I would share those so that you understood why I do my photography business and how important making people happy is to me.
