Twin Fun Making Me “Remember When”

Here’s a picture of my twin boys, exactly two years ago, enjoying their first time in a swing together. I remember this day like it was yesterday. This picture is still on my refrigerator mainly because I’d swear to you that I just printed it not too long ago and it’s not outdated. (Input cliche phrases here “man, how time flies” and “boy, do they grow up fast”.)

Anyway, my friend Jackie asked if I could re-create this picture with her twins. Ironically, her twins are almost the exact same age as mine were in the picture, and we went down to use the exact same swing at the park. Yes, it did bring back memories for me! It was so cute to push them in the swing together. Cooper & Keegan loved it! In fact, by the end of our 15 minutes in the extremely humid weather (the rain had just ended) Keegan had actually fallen asleep in the swing.

So, first up, the picture of my boys, Brady & Tyler from two years ago. This was taken with my point and shoot camera, with no photoshop processing, prior to me having a photography business. So, please be nice to me about the quality.

And, Cooper & Keegan enjoying their first double swinging adventure! By the way, you know I can’t just take ONE picture, so enjoy a few more.

Sweet, Sweet Baby

Oh wow, I really love these pictures.  Baby Christopher is so sweet and he just made my night after working on them.  Babies are the best, aren’t they?  And nothing beats a sweet little baby all curled up sleeping either! The first picture just makes me melt.

Christina, here is a sneak peak for you since I know you are so excited. Now maybe you can sleep tonight. Doesn’t Christina look great in these pictures also?  She’s a proud and beautiful mommy!

Summer Booking Special

The summer season is upon us which means it’s a great time to book a session!  I’m booking appointments for the summer months and am offering a special!  If you contact me before the end of May to book a session for the summer months (June, July, August) you will receive your choice of a free 8×10, 5×7 or set of 8 wallets for every $50 you spend in prints or the CD.  That’s up to a $25 value for every $50 you spend!  Try to find a deal like that somewhere else.  I dare you!

Why am I offering this?  Maybe because it was a beautiful day outside today and we got to wear shorts & flip flops finally!  And because I received an email that my new lens is arriving in the mail on Thursday!  (Us photographers go nuts for new photography equipment!)  I guess I’m just in a crazy good mood today!  So, you benefit!  Don’t let this offer pass you by, email me at email@rememberwhenphotographybykristi.com

I’ll leave you with a few quick snaps of my son, Tyler, while he was playing outside in our driveway the other day.  Ahhh, his eyes, they make me melt.  And I love the backlighting from the sun making him glow.

Hidden Treasure

I am cleaning up lots of files from previous client sessions and came across this little treasure.  I thought it was fun, because I know that Annika was hanging upside down and having a blast when I took it.  I thought it was a great reminder of a milestone for her, which is a close up of her two front teeth being lost recently.  I thought her eyes glistened so beautifully (the color version is very nice too with her bright blue eyes).  Her hair is flowing like I wish my hair would (but it never will).  And she’s our grand-daughter so I think she’s super special.  Not to mention my boys have been talking about her all week and asking to go on the airplane to go see “A-ka”.

So, for those reasons, this was a hidden treasure that was worthy of it’s place on my blog for today.

My New Fav

My new favorite picture.  Probably because it’s of my boys, so I’m a bit partial.  Brady was holding the stick so Tyler could blow bubbles.  How sweet.  This picture was worthy of becoming my new wallpaper on my computer.  I took it a couple of weeks ago right before the grass turned green in Michigan.  I wish it was beautiful green grass, but hey, whatever.  I still give it 2 thumbs up.
