The Family With the Gorgeous Eyes

Man, this whole family has stunning eyes! Which means many of my favorites are close ups! Sorry, can’t help it. And can you blame me? Noah is a little sweetie….a perfect model when it was his turn to pose alone. Gianna remembered me from some pics I took of her a few months ago and she clung to me when I left and said “I don’t want you to go”. Aw!! And Alexie had her 7th birthday party the day before and was SO excited about her signed Taylor Swift guitar that we had to take some pics with it. She played me the D chord over and over. Too cute!!

Oh, and at the very end you’ll notice Jaimee sporting some “t-shirt bling”, as I’ll call it, for her hubby, Tommy. It’s their first year of marriage. Stylishly sweet!

One Special Pic

I have a personal family blog that I tend to post all of my family pictures and happenings on, but occasionally I like to share some on this blog as well so that you can get to know a little more about me personally, instead of all business. I’ve had various out of town family staying with us lately. Summers around our house are like that. It’s awesome. We’ve had family here for 24 out of the past 29 days! And we still have more planning to visit in August.

My boys adore so many of their relatives, including their big sister, Janessa. And I think Janessa equally adores them. She’s in college and gets equally as excited to see Brady & Tyler as they do about her. She asked to have some pics done of her & the boys. How fun! And so special! I have lots of cute ones, but this one is my favorite.

Perfection in 15 Minutes

15 minutes, Me, sweet little Riley, her new dress, my new awesome blue chair and a field of weeds. That’s the recipe for these incredibly perfect pictures. Amazing!

(PS…Thanks to my friend Kristen for giving me the chair as a gift for helping her start her photo biz in St. Louis. You are awesome my friend!)

(PSS…Can I blow up this first picture and put it on the side of a building or something? Pretty please?)

A Little Something Different

Last week we had family in town (awesome time, by the way). To make a long story short, Aubrey is a videographer and took footage of Aaron & Jenn to make them a movie about their first year of marriage and their new life here in Michigan. I tagged along to take some pictures for Aubrey to include in the movie. So these aren’t my typical portraits, but rather are lifestyle photos of Aaron & Jenn enjoying the things they do together. I thought they were fun and different. Maybe I’ll be able to show you the movie when Aubrey finishes it too. She does an awesome job!

Marcia & Joe’s Wedding

Marcia is my cousin and I was honored that she asked me to photograph her & Joe’s wedding! So, not only was I the photographer, but I also took video to make a wedding movie for them and I was a guest (I even found time to take care of one my boys when he got sick during the reception). So, it was a very full day. I was with them for about 9 hours. I walked away with some incredible shots & footage for them! Congratulations Marcia & Joe and thanks for letting me a part of your very special and perfect day!

Enjoy some of my favorites from the day.
