Happy Birthday, Nathan!!

My nephew Nathan celebrated his 10th birthday yesterday. He said he had dinner with his family and opened a few gifts last night. He’s having his bigger birthday party on Sunday though. Brady & Tyler have been very sick this week (Brady has an ear infection also), but we’re hoping we’re going to make it to Nathan’s party! Nathan picked out his present from us last week when he was here. Nathan is a great kid!

Happy Birthday Nathan!!
Here are a couple of pictures of Nathan when he spent a week with us this summer.

Happy Birthday Janessa!!

A big Happy Birthday wish to Janessa today! She turned 19 years old. Janessa is attending Utah Valley State University and lives in an apartment with some of her girlfriends. She’s also working part-time in a department store. As you can see from pictures of her she’s very pretty. She’s also very sweet, friendly and outgoing. She loves to sing and play the guitar and was in this year’s CMT Music Madness competition where she was in the final rounds for writing & recording a song. She’s coming to visit us next month and we’re looking forward to that!
Here’s a picture of her with Brady & Tyler in September. Also, a picture of her & Dave from Dave’s recent visit to Utah.

Happy Birthday Janessa!! We Love You!!

Nothing Exciting

Brady & Tyler are sick again, for the 6th time this winter. It’s no wonder they got sick after all the germs from going to so many kid-friendly places last week when Nathan was here.

Here are a few pictures from today. The boys found some of my old purses and walked around the house with them around their necks. It was kind of funny.

I also grabbed two identical (this is critical) cell phones out of the recycle-your-cell-phone box at Target. The charger was also with them, so now they have their very own REAL cell phones that actually light up and beep. Although I don’t think I have them completely fooled since no one ever talks on the other end. Brady walks around with the phone up to his ear and head tilted….while Tyler talks into it like a walkie talkie.

A Fun Week with Nathan

Brady & Tyler have had a fun week with their cousin Nathan visiting! We’ve kept so busy and have done so many fun things! Monday we went swimming at the pool at our gym. Tuesday we went to Castaway Cafe (it’s the largest indoor playplace in all of Michigan…think of the McDonalds play thing and then times that by ten!). Wednesday we went roller skating at Roller-rama for their preschool skate (they allow strollers, and kids toys on the rink). Nathan had a great time learning how to skate for the first time.

Today we went back to Castaway Cafe for lunch and 3 hours of playing!! Brady & Tyler love the toddler area and they played for 3 full hours with the other toddlers! (Yes, they are sound asleep napping now!) Tomorrow we are going back to swim at the pool. And on top of all of that we’ve done some shopping and going out to eat. So it’s been a fun-filled week. Nathan goes home tomorrow night. I think Brady & Tyler will be sad to see him go!

I keep forgetting to bring my camera everywhere this week (hard to believe, huh?), but here’s a couple that I took from my phone at Castaway today.

Family Weekend

Well, I’m heading to Caledonia this weekend to visit my family. Then Nathan, my nephew, is coming back with me to spend next week with us. He has winter break and is excited to spend the week with us. We always do fun things with him when he comes.

Dave is in Utah for the long weekend. He had a business meeting there and then of course is staying longer to visit the family. Here’s a cute picture of the kids. Aubrey is on the left (remember she has 3 kids and lives in Vegas) and the others are all doing good in college…Aaron, Nich, Zach & Janessa. Aaron is supposed to find out any day now where which large Accounting Firms are giving him an offer for a summer internship. He put Michigan down for his top choice of where to do the internship….which of course often leads to a full time job offer. We’re hoping he comes here…it will likely be in the Detroit area. BYU has the top accounting program in the country….and now several firms are interested in him. Go Aaron!!
