Motorcycle Mania

Not only are Brady & Tyler interested (to say the least) in “driving” cars all the time, but now that Dave got the motorcycle out for the season they constantly ask to go for a ride on it. And yes, I have to admit we take them for rides on it. Before you get mad at us, you have to know that we only go 3 miles per hour and we just go around our subdivision. The boys love it!

Here’s a picture of us that Aaron took when we went for a ride tonight.

Memorial Weekend in Utah

Ok, let me first say that the boys were fabulous on the plane! That was the easiest part of the trip, surprisingly. But, just as they did the past 3 times we flew with them, they caught colds within 2 days of the plane ride (cold #9 of the season in case you needed a reminder…ha ha). And they had a tough time with all the excitement, staying up late, time change, etc and they slept horribly and therefore were fussy.

Anyway, the bad aside, we had a nice time in Utah. It was fun visiting with all of our family. I met a photographer friend at a park & we had fun taking pictures of each other’s kids. We had a nice family cookout. We took the boys bowling for the first time. And we went to a taping of the Mormon Tablernacle Choir. They are the longest running weekly program in the world…79 years! They did a very nice Memorial Day patriotic program and their singing & music was incredible!

So, I had 155 pictures from the trip and managed to narrow it down to 43 pictures to put here. And yes, Kori, you’ll find me in some of them, just as I promised.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Well, I’m packed (finally) and am ready for our trip to Utah. I have so many things to think about and worry about. But the funniest thing is that this morning I’ve been consumed with figuring out what the boys should wear for the plane ride. I’ve been trying to make sure they are dressed cute enough (yet comfortable & warm) so the people around us will at least think they are cute, even if they are thinking to themselves as we sit down near them with two toddlers “darn, we got stuck near the loud babies…and two of them!”

The boys each have their own new back pack loaded with new toys from Target. I hoped the new toys would entertain them on the plane. Of course they stay entertained for about 10 minutes with a toy, so a 4 hour flight means I need about 24 toys. ha ha

Anyway, Salt Lake City is expecting cold & rainy weather all weekend, so that’s a bummer. I actually pulled out long sleeve shirts again. Yuck!

Have a great weekend & I’ll post on Wednesday when we get back. I’m off to the airport!

Weekend Fun

Well, after a tough week last week with the boys being sick (this makes # 8), we headed to Grandma & Grandpa’s house. Dave was in Grand Rapids all week/weekend for his annual convention, so my parents watched the boys on Saturday night while I joined Dave for an overnight date. We got all dressed up, went to dinner at the 1810 room at the Amway, then went to the GR Symphony and then stayed in one of the nice suites at the Amway. And the best part of it….I slept for 10 hours straight! ha ha

The boys had fun with Grandma & Grandpa. And they even slept through the night for them, which they haven’t done for me in about a week.

I’m hoping they stay healthy & happy because we leave for Utah on Thursday to visit with Dave’s family until next Tuesday. The boys & I haven’t been out there since September! We can’t wait to see everyone! I’ll let you know how flying with them goes. Oh boy…..!!!

Here’s a few pictures from the weekend. Oh, and Kori, I promise I’ll work on getting myself in pictures…maybe even this weekend!!

Official Launch of Remember When Photography

Most of you probably received an email from me about this. But, I finished my website and am offically launching my photography business, Remember When Photography! I’m so excited about how it turned out. But, what will I do with my “free” time now? Clean the house I guess. ha ha

Being in Human Resources I’ve always heard the surveys that show that people aren’t at their job for the money, but rather for other things. Well, if this is considered a “job” for me, I can finally agree 100% with those surveys, because I’m doing this for reasons other than money, such as; a challenge, to accomplish something, to be creative & use my talents, to stimuate my mind, to interact with other people, etc, etc. Like I’ve said before, I just love it.

Anyway, check out the site when you get a chance. I’ll continuously update it with new pictures as well as specials on my pricing.
