Today I took a road trip to Grand Rapids & Big Rapids to photograph two different credit unions. I was especially excited about the trip to Big Rapids because that’s where I went to college, at Ferris State University. I’ve only been to Big Rapids once since I graduated (clear my throat) 16 years ago! So, you can imagine I had fun traveling down memory lane!
First stop is to have lunch with Donna & Denise. They were my bosses for all 4 years while I worked in the College of Business office helping them out. I’d work any hour that I didn’t have a class. It was the best job ever, and I worked for the best ladies ever! And 16 years later we still keep in touch. Today was only the 4th time we’ve seen each other since I graduated, so it’s always extra special to see them!

See, told you they were the sweetest ladies ever….they remembered it was my birthday and got me a FSU sweatshirt! I was so excited!!!

After my photo shoot I just HAD to drive into campus to check things out. First of all, this beautiful building wasn’t there before!

And here’s the College of Business where I learned all the important business things that make me so smart. ha ha! It’s also where I worked with Donna & Denise.

And this is Brophy Hall, the dorms where I lived for my first two years. Cindy, remember this???? Oh man, do we have memories here!

Next stop was my sorority house where I lived for my last two years. If I wasn’t so comfortable on my couch I’d run downstairs and pull out all of my sorority memorabilia. It’s good for many laughs!! To take this picture I had to pull into the driveway of my ex-husband’s fraternity house. Yep, lots of memories!

Yep, this is my alma mater! What a fun trip!
Taking one more peak behind me in my mirror.

Ok, one last stop….to fill up with gas. I just had to ask a college kid to take my picture with my new sweatshirt on. I know, I’m crazy. I suppose he thought I was too. But Donna & Denise, here’s proof the sweatshirt fits perfect!! Do I look like I could pass for a college student? Or do I really look 37?
Oh, I forgot, one more stop along the way. I think this was the Muskegon river. I literally went through the”authorized vehicles only” thing to get to the other side of the highway to get this picture. Oh, I also ignored the “no stopping, standing or parking” sign as well. I couldn’t pass it up. If you aren’t from Michigan, this is what us Michiganders mean when we say we love the fall because the colors are so beautiful.
