Painted & Ready

Jamaica, here we come. Brady & Tyler are ready for a week with Grandma & Papa. Dave & I are ready for a week of sun & fun.

My bags are packed and my toes are painted. Talk to you all in a week or so.

Bikes & Backyard

Brady & Tyler suddenly decided the other day that they wanted to try to ride on their friends, Dylan & Noah’s, “bike boy” bikes.  Last year they wouldn’t go on them because they couldn’t reach the pedals.  They realized last week that they could reach the pedals (just barely) and decided they NEEDED new bikes.  They were using small 10 inch bikes that were handy-me-downs from 2 other people and were pretty well used.  So, I took them to the store and let them pick out 12 inch bikes.  There were a couple to choose from, but ironically they both picked the exact bike.

Tomorrow we close on our old house. I can honestly say that I’m not sure if I’ve ever really step foot in our backyard there. Seriously. Well, except to cut through it to go out the street behind it to ride around the lake. It was very small and didn’t offer much. In contrast, the backyard at our new house is amazing. It’s big. It’s full of trees. And the 14th hole of the golf course. And this whopper of an enormous tree that I can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s in full bloom!

New Toy

It’s Dave’s new toy. But, somehow I’ve managed to turn it into my toy. And the boys’ toy. And the most popular toddler play group toy. Who wants to drive a small plastic ride on toy when Miss Kristi will let them drive this? Move over Fisher Price, EZ-Go is here. And who needs Disneyland rides when you have a golf cart and hills? Hands up in the air…..weeeeee…..down the hill we go.

More Easter Pics

Here are some more pics from our Easter Sunday.

Hello?

Hello? Anybody there? Oh wait, that’s probably what you say every time you check my blog for almost a month. I was reminded of that by my friend Cindy today who quoted me the exact date of my last post. I might not have posted, but you gotta know that I thought about my poor blog every single day; wanting to post, but no time or energy.

Well, as you probably suspected, I’ve been busy doing house stuff. We are now moved in, as of yesterday. I realized that I haven’t checked facebook or blogs in several days. I have 2 house mailboxes and haven’t checked mail. I completely missed American Idol and the Biggest Loser this week (this should knock you off your chair if you know me). And even though 99.9% of our stuff is over here at the new house, my computer power cord is still at the old house. So my blog isn’t the only neglected thing lately!

Quick update on the house. I love it. Every day I love it a little more. A painter literally slept/lived in the house for 16 days straight and pained almost the entire inside. And a father/son remodeling team (practically family to us now) have worked full time for us, every single day, for 4 weeks so far and they still have about another week to go. We’ve met countless of other contractors along the way as well. Dave is in Utah for 5 days so I’m working like crazy to get all of the rooms set up, organized and unpacked.

Well, my computer battery life says 45% and I’m having blog and facebook withdrawals, so I’ll post a few pics of our little family from Easter. More Easter pics later. And maybe some house pics eventually too since many of you keep asking for the “after” pics.
